About the group

We are a team of chemists, pharmaceutical scientists, chemical and biomedical engineers working in the department of Molecular Sciences of Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia).

We work on understanding and controlling molecular self-assembly in order to synthesize materials with a nanoscale ordered structure. We mainly focus on mesoporous silica-based particles which are being developed for applications in nanomedicine, pharmaceutical drug delivery and chiral separation.

Our main aim is to improve our understanding of the interactions between biological molecules and inorganic materials.
