Yanan obtained her Bachelor of Science in 2014 in applied chemistry at the China University of Geosciences in Wuhan and continued with her Master’s course with the Synthesis, Characterization of SO42-/xwt% AB2O4 solid acid catalysts and application in the esterification reactions. She graduated with her Master of Science in 2016 in applied chemistry at China University of Geosciences in Wuhan and applied for her PhD at Macquarie University which she started in 2017.

Yanan is currently working on the synthesis of mesoporous materials with special characters like chirality and to use them as support for synthesis catalysts. Her main goal is to choose specific reactions to test catalysts catalytic ability. Specifically, she is trying to find a controllable synthesis of SO42-/xwt% AB2O4-mesoporous materials and study its structure and performance.

Update: Dr. Huang graduated from MQ in 2020 and is now a post-doctoral researcher at Fundan University (Shanghai, China)
